These next forty days, try and employ these methods in your life, and witness the change that occurs.
Rules
- Wake Up Early (5-8 am)
- “She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her female servants.” Proverbs 31:15
- Start your day off with Him: spend your morning or first waking hour with Him
- “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” Mark 1:35
- “O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I plead my case to you and watch.” Psalm 5:3
- Move your body twice a day - indoors and outdoors 30-45 min each
- “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” 1 Tim. 4:8
- “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
- Dedicate 1hr a day to a God-sized dream/goal (Holy40) or steward your talents
- "Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established." Proverbs 16:3
- “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
- Prayer walk for 15-20 minutes (Holy 40)
- "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7
- Nourish your body with healthy, whole foods
- “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
- Meditate on God’s word (at least once a day)
- “ Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua 1:8
- Journal/write what God tells you
- "Then the Lord said to me, ‘Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.’" Habakkuk 2:2-3
- Strengthen your relationships (with God and others)
- “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” John 13:34
- “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Proverbs 27:17
- Document your progress!
- “Nevertheless the righteous will hold to his way, and he who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.” Job 17:9
